Online Traffic Directing
If you are new to Internet Marketing, driving traffic to your site may sound complicated, but it isn’t. It may take a little time and effort, but having a steady stream of traffic is worth it. Here are some ways to start building your traffic.
Defining your target market ahead of time is very important when it comes to directing traffic to your site. You can have all the traffic in the world, but if they aren’t interested in your product or service, they aren’t going to turn into a customer. However, if you know who your audience is and what they are looking for, you will be able to offer it to them and your conversion rate will be much higher.
Keywords are the words and phrases your target market uses when they search for your product or service. Knowing what those are in advance can help you optimize your pages by using those keywords in your meta tags and page titles. When search engines perform crawls through the Internet, your pages will be indexed with those keywords. If someone performs a search using the keywords on your site, it is likely that your site will be listed in the search results.
Content is another factor that goes hand in hand with keywords and your target market. When your target market is looking for information, what kind of information are they looking for? For example, let’s say you have a travel themed website and you have done some research and established that people are looking for budget friendly family vacation ideas. By doing a little research and establishing all of that, you’ll know what kind of articles to include on your site.
Having links that come into your site is also a great way to drive traffic to your site. If you have a blog, add posts with links pointing out articles and other information on your site. If you participate in online forums, adding a link to your site in your signature line can also drive traffic to your site.
Writing articles and distributing them to reprint directories is another great way to add to your traffic. Other website owners visit these directories in search of articles they can use on their site. Each time someone publishes one of your articles, they will include a few lines at the end of the article that you have written about yourself and your site. Your article and the links to your site could be published on many different websites, bringing your website to the attention to a limitless number of people.
By using these methods you find the traffic flowing to your site will increase. Check your website’s stats and track your results. Experiment to find what methods work best for you, and you will be able to drive even more traffic to your site.

More Website Traffic Through Article Marketing
By Scott Logan | April 11, 2007
Article Marketing
Article Marketing is a great tool to use when it comes to adding traffic to your site. If you are not familiar with what it is, Article Marketing is simply writing articles and submitting them to article reprint directories on the web.
As you may know, having fresh content on your website and blog is key when it comes to getting search engine traffic. Many website owners and bloggers visit article reprint directories on a daily basis, in search of articles to use on their sites.
When you submit an article to a directory, you are allowing other website owners and bloggers permission to add your article to their site – for free.
However, they need to include an “about the author” box at the end of the article. You get to write what you want included in that box, so include a bit of information about the product or service you offer and include links to your site.
When the website owner or blogger puts your article up on the web, all of their readers will see your biography information and the links to your website. Your article could end up on hundreds or thousands of websites, and quite possibly, millions of people could end up reading it!
Who knows how many people could click on your link?
It is very easy to find these reprint directories on the web. Just do a Google search on “free reprint article directories” and many listings will pop up. Some are highly targeted and feature only articles health articles; or only articles about food; and other directories are more general.
You can submit your article to more than one directory, and there are even some software packages that will submit the articles for you. The topics you can choose to write about are limitless.
What is the focus of your website?
Be creative and think of why someone would want to visit your website and create an article about it. Someone who sells Tupperware for instance, could easily write about food related items or take it a step further an write an article about the fact that the plastic containers are great for organizing toys, bathroom items or even nuts and bolts in the garage.
If you do not like to write, don’t worry. You can hire a ghostwriter to write your article for you. You can ask other Internet Marketers for referrals on reputable ghostwriters. The prices for an article will vary, but an average rate is about $10 to $12 for a 500 word article.
Once you discuss with the ghostwriter what you are looking for, they will write the article and send it back to you. Some ghostwriters may also include submit the article to reprint directories for you.

5 Tips to Make Your Press Release Brilliant

5 Tips to Make Your Press Release Brilliant
Press Releases can help your business gain publicity through the media. Having media attention gives your business credibility. Here are some tips to boost your press release’s appeal.
Correct Format: There is a format that press releases need to follow. Make sure your yours is written in the correct format, as you will want it to look as professional as possible. It is also a good idea to double-check the grammar, punctuation and spelling before you send it in for submission.
Keep it Clear and Concise: Your press release should be no longer than two pages. Media outlets receive lots of press releases and don’t have time to read a ten page report. Keeping your writing clear and concise allow you to fit in the important facts without going over the two page limit. As you decide what information to include, answer the following questions: who, what, why, where, when, and how.
What Is The Reader Going To Gain: Give your press releases a call to action. Include something that is going to inspire readers to go to your event, visit your website, attend your grand opening, etc. Writing a blatant ad will be obvious. Incorporate the features and benefits of what you are promoting, and give information on what it will do for your target market. If you are promoting a new food processor, simply stating that it is smaller and takes up less space than previous models isn’t enough. However, writing the information as “the new model is smaller and takes up less space, allowing our customers to have the full chopping power of our larger model, but also save precious counter space” lets the reader know how the new model will help them.
Make It Interesting: If your writing is boring, no one is going to want to read it. Try to find a balance between straight facts and excitement. Using the example of the food processor above, announcing that “our new food processor will be available this spring” isn’t as catchy as “our new space-saving food processor will be available this spring, just in time to help you chop fresh vegetables for your summer salads”.
Remember Your Target Market: As you write and submit your press releases, keep your target market in mind at all times. By keeping your audience in mind, you will be able to focus on what information to include and where to submit your press releases. For instance, if you are promoting an event related to children’s health, submitting a press release to the travel editor of your local paper isn’t going to help you.
The media cannot run a story on every press release they receive, but implementing these tips will help you write press releases that grab, and keep, the media’s attention. The old saying “practice makes perfect” rings true for press releases; the more you write them, the better you will get.
